A new beginning - I'm so excited that I just can't hide it (and I won't)
I'm making a new beginning after 13 years working and loving the students and families and staff of Memphis Catholic Middle & High School. We've built so many memories and I will always have some Charger blue blood in me.
The memories that have been shared with me by alumni who date all the way back to the 1950s are amazing. The institution may be passing away, but the Memphis treasure know as Memphis Catholic High and all its heritage schools will never die.
Back in July 2006, I had just left a 15 year career with Terminix International and found the amazing opportunity to lead the newly founded Education That Works corporate internship program at Memphis Catholic. I cannot express enough of how proud I am of all the 9th through 12th graders who went to work in corporate offices across Memphis and Shelby County for one day each week throughout their high school careers. It's hard for me to fathom that my first graduates for 2007 are now 30 years old. But it's true! These hallways will always mean the world to me!
But now, Memphis Catholic will be no more as it goes through a transformation with 5 other Catholic elementary schools to become Compass Community Schools under fantastic leadership.
And, so, now it's time for me to make another transition in my career and join another wonderful family with a rich tradition in elementary Catholic education.
I am thrilled to become a part of the family and look forward to working with our entire community to spread the good news of St. Paul Catholic School to the entire Memphis community and beyond! I have lofty goals set for myself and look forward to learning from each of you as I begin this journey.
I cannot express properly how overjoyed and blessed I am to have this opportunity to serve the families of St. Paul Catholic School present, past and future.
